Celebrate the power of crafting while sharing knowledge, inspiration, and thoughts on women's right activism!
Join Amnesty's Women's Rights Defenders Network for an afternoon of embroidery and discussion. Mabel of Crafty Fox will teach participants how to embellish their clothes with embroidery in a 1.5 hour class.
Afterwards, practice your new skills or rest your fingers during a facilitated sharing and support discussion on women's rights activism.
No prior experience with embroidery or women's rights activism needed, and all genders are welcome!
Price includes all embroidery materials (including hoop, thread, needle, and handout to take home), a Women's Rights Defenders pack, and tea/biscuits. Tote bags to embroider provided, but feel free to bring along an article of clothing or other item (pillowcase, cushion cover, etc.) you'd like to spruce up. Fabric should have little to no stretch, i.e. cotton, linen, calico, or a lightweight denim.
Please note: This event has limited spaces. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
